Frankfort Transit is a public service operated by the City of Frankfort. F/T provides several services, Seasonal Downtown Trolley Route, Four Deviated- Fixed Routes, Demand Response, JOB and Saturday Routes. Our drivers are trained to assist passengers with disabilities.
THE FRANKFORT TRANSIT SYSTEM
Provides four deviated-fixed routes in which buses will stop at designated bus stops and shelters.
Bus service runs from
6:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.,
Mon. - Fri.
8:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
These routes provide full coverage of all major shopping centers, doctor offices, hospital, senior citizen complex and most state office buildings. A printed schedule is available at City Hall or upon request from a route bus driver.
ROUTE BUSES MAY RUN UP TO 10 MINUTES LATE DUE TO RIDERSHIP, TRAFFIC AND OR WEATHER CONDITIONS

Our Downtown Trolley Route is our newest route and is FREE to riders to visit downtown Historic sites, restaurants and shops.
Deviated Fixed Routes are open to the general public and person(s) with and without disabilities.
DEVIATIONS: These routes keep a set timetable; the buses can provide two deviations per run up to ¾ mile off the route to specific location for curb to curb service. Deviations cost $1.00 one way.
IMPORTANT: 24hr. Notice is required to make a reservation. Deviations must be scheduled
before 2:30 p.m., the day before. Due to limited space, trips will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. The maximum advanced time allowed to make reservations is one week. For Reservations Call (502) 875-8565.
Demand Response/ J.O.B
Demand Response operates in the city limits of Frankfort, providing one way, curb to curb service, depending on the needs of the passengers and if there is not an accessible deviated-fixed route.
Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
