TAX INCREMENT FINANCING (TIF) DEVELOPMENT PLAN, PUBLIC HEARING POSTPONED
The City of Frankfort’s previously announced public hearing concerning the TIF Development Plan, scheduled for Monday, August 10, will be postponed.
The City of Frankfort recently advertised this public hearing concerning the TIF Development Plan where interested citizens could provide comments. Since the initial advertisement, the City has been notified by another developer that they would like the opportunity to be included in the established TIF District as they have a project in the vicinity that might benefit from the designation. This proposed change to the TIF District will be discussed by the Commission in the August 10th Work Session. Therefore, the August 10th public hearing will be postponed until additional information can be gathered and potential revisions to the TIF Development Plan can be made.
The City will, again, advertise for the public hearing once the new date and time have been established. Those who have previously registered to make comments at the initial August 10th hearing will not have to register again. The rescheduled public hearing will function the same way as the initial hearing, and only those who desire to provide public comments need to register whereas those wanting to view the public hearing do not have to register. The public hearing will be broadcast live on the City of Frankfort’s Facebook page and FPB’s Cable 10.
