Join City of Frankfort Planning & Community Development and Special Projects staff for a two day historic preservation workshop, August 20-21. August 20th's workshops include:
- 9:00 AM: Walking Tour of North Frankfort. Get a tour of some of Frankfort's historic buildings on the North side of downtown.
- 10:30 AM: Are You the Paint Police or Preservation Collaborators? Learn effective ways to work with people living in local landmarks and historic districts.
- 11:30 AM: Preservation Doesn't Cost, It Pays. Lunchtime workshop. Hear from Bob Yapp about the economic benefits of historic preservation.
- 1:30 PM: Additions that Work! Participants learn how to build an addition onto the house that fits with the existing historical infrastructure.
Lunch is provided by TTs, Tacos and Tortas. Register for the full day of Friday workshops or the lunch workshop only.
August 21st's workshop is a hands-on workshop focused on Historic Masonry. Utilizing a historic downtown building, participants will learn about historic masonry and repointing work. This workshop is limited to 12 participants and lunch will be provided. Workshop runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
