Designing Local has been hired by the City of Frankfort to assist in the creation of new design guidelines for the Special Capital District that will be in line with recently developed guidelines for the other two historic districts in Frankfort. The team is currently evaluating existing historic buildings in the district and examining the needs and desires of residents and property owners as we develop these new Design Guidelines. Topics addressed will include the renovation of historic properties (including construction materials) as well as the design of newly constructed buildings.
