Become a Public Works Ambassador!

The Public Works Department is offering a new community education program, ARC, Ambassadors for Resource Conservation. This month-long program includes three weeks of weekly classes (March 6, March 13 and March 20), two field trips to the landfill and recycling center (week of March 27), and a volunteering opportunity with graduation ceremony at Reforest Frankfort on April 13. 

Program participants will go in depth on municipal waste and recycling systems, storm water and waste water programs in Frankfort, and compost and zero waste both at home and on a municipal level. Participants will receive a program tshirt and curriculum supplies. The program is free to participate.

To become an ambassador, submit an application here. Class size is limited to 15. There is no residency requirement, anyone is welcome to apply. Participants are asked to make every effort to attend all class sessions if accepted. Applications are open until February 29.
