| REBID ON ROOFING PROJECTS | The City of Frankfort, KY intends to issue a contract for new metal roofs at the Sullivan House and the Gippy Graham Shelter at Leslie Morris Park on Fort Hill for the Frankfort Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Department. The Response shall be provided in accordance with the stated specifications in Article III TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS of this invitation. Successful firm / company / individual shall be notified by the City’s Purchasing Agent. After contract award date, delivery shall be made as expeditiously as possible. The scope of this IFB is to seek qualified commercial metal roof firms/companies or individuals to provide professional services to the City of Frankfort, Kentucky to replace the current cedar shake roofs at the Sullivan House and Gippy Graham Shelter in Leslie Morris Park on Fort Hill. The replacement plan is intended to replace aging, outdated and poor condition cedar shake roofs with new commercial grade metal roofing that meets all current codes and standards now and into the future. A barn tin type roof is recommended to blend in with the style, colors, etc. of the current structures.
The City is currently in the process of a parks master plan that is seeking to evaluate existing parks, facilities, amenities, services, programs, etc. and provide a plan to renovate existing parks and facilities to modern standards as well as plans to add new facilities and amenities that meet the needs and goals of City management. Leslie Morris Park on Fort Hill is a key part of this plan and new roofs for these facilities are one of the early steps.

| UPDATE TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN | The Frankfort/Franklin County Planning Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for the update to the 2016 Frankfort/Franklin County Comprehensive Plan. The current Comprehensive Plan was readopted in 2016 after a significant update in 2010. The last time that a firm was engaged with the community to perform analysis and write a “new” Comprehensive Plan was 2002. |
